Nice city view from The Nines Hotel, where I stayed for my 1 week vacation in Portland.

 

 

 

Columbia River Gorge (Oregon, USA)
Vista House, Multnomah Falls, Latourell Falls, Shepperd's Dell

Remarks (September 2024):
Excellent view of Columbia River from Vista House.  The height of Multnomah Falls is impressive.

 

 

 

Pittock Mansion (Portland, Oregon, USA)

Remarks (September 2024):
Nice Steinway grand piano.  Great panoramic view of Portland town from mansion's garden.

 

 

 

Lan Su Chinese Garden (Portland, Oregon, USA)

Remarks (September 2024):
Large pond with lots of koi.  中秋節 (moon festival) is coming soon (Sept 17th this year), lots of festive orange latterns.

 

 

 

Japanese Garden (Portland, Oregon, USA)

Remarks (September 2024):
I like most are the large Japanese koi, also the stone gardens, very traditional Japanese style.
I bought some bonsai seeds (red maple), will try to grow them soon.

Columbia River (Oregon/Washington, USA)

Remarks (September 2024):
Relaxing day... cruising along Columbia River.
The river locates between state Oregon & Washington, can view the beautiful scenery of both states at the same time.

 

 

 

Bonneville Hatchery (Portland, Oregon, USA)

Remarks (September 2024):
Many baby fish (salmon)! So cute!
There are also white sturgeons, though I did not see any caviar for sale.
